An Indiana man and his wife are in the Allegan County jail after three separate police chases on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

ABC 57 in South Bend says the suspect is 44-year-old Anthony Blatz. He had warrants for two counts of larceny and violating probation in Indiana. The first chase started in Indiana and ended at the state line.

A Michigan State Trooper saw Blatz driving through Lawton and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect and his wife tried to run leading to a short chase that ended on M-40 in Paw Paw around 1:00 p.m.

Following the crash Blatz and his wife took off on foot, several hours later they were picked up by two people from Indiana. Troopers noticed a vehicle with Indiana plates in the area and made a traffic stop around 4:00 p.m.

Blatz pushed the driver out of the vehicle, he then got in the driver's seat and took off north on M-40. Police stopped the vehicle near 102nd Avenue in Allegan County when a trooper used the pit maneuver.

Blatz, his wife, and a third passenger were taken into custody.

No one was injured in the incidents, and Michigan State Police are still investigating the chases.

The suspect was arrested on the outstanding warrants from Indiana, and MSP will be requesting local charges upon completion of the investigation.
