A driver has been ticketed, but is otherwise unharmed after crashing into a train Thursday, March 15 in Allegan County.

Deputies say it happened around 8:10 p.m. at the railroad crossing near 124th Avenue and 10th Street. The driver of a Pontiac Sunfire was not paying attention and tried to stop at the last second.

That driver then slid into the train and the car was dragged a short way.

Crews were on the scene for hours after the crash cleaning up debris.
