A suspect is in custody after allegedly stabbing two people overnight. It happened just after 1 a.m. on Weston Street SW and South Division Avenue.
Grand Rapids Police tell us a cell phone was stolen from a vehicle. The victim called the phone and the suspect answered.
They arranged to meet at Weston and South Division, that's when the suspect stabbed the owner of the phone and a second person they were with, then fled.
Both victims were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The 38-year-old male suspect was taken into custody a short time later.
