Confirmed: 2nd victim in Muskegon shooting dies

Muskegon domestic shooting leaves 3 dead

Update as of 8:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 14: Late today, 13 On Your Side confirmed that Thomas Davis died from his injuries sustained in the Friday night shooting.

Muskegon police believe a domestic dispute turned into a deadly shooting Friday night. It happened around 9:30 in a parking lot near 5th Street and West Western Avenue.

Police say they found 28-year-old Brittany Sevrey and 29-year-old Thomas Davis, both from Muskegon Township, with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Sevrey died from her injuries at the scene. Davis is in critical condition at an area hospital.

The suspected shooter has been identified as Brandon Sevrey. The 34-year-old man was Brittany Sevrey's husband. Brandon Sevrey's body was found in a wooded area behind the couple's home by Michigan State Police K9 units. He died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say the investigation is on-going.

Mercy Health released this statement midday on Saturday regarding the victims:

Brittany Sevrey was a practice coach at Affinia Health Network, and Tom Davis is a senior financial analyst at The Health Project, a community health benefit of Mercy Health. We are deeply saddened by this tragedy, and our hearts go out to the families and our colleagues.
