WHITEHALL, Mich. - This week's Meijer Scholar Athlete is Whitehall's Brandon Rake who just today held a ceremony at school to sign with Alma College to play basketball.
Hoops is his best sport but at Whitehall he was a three sport athlete...playing football and throwing for track and field.
Rake carries a GPA just over 4.0 and hopes to major in either physical therapy or sports marketing.
He actually looks forward to the challenge to keep his grades up while playing basketball for the Scots.
