One dead after Wyoming house fire

Fire fighters found the victims body in a bedroom where the fire was at.

WYOMING, Mih. - One person is dead after a fire in Wyoming Thursday morning, April 19, 2018. Firefighters responded to the home on Rathbone Street between Martindale and Wendler Avenues shortly before 9:00 a.m.

They found an electric meter on the outside of the home on fire with evidence it extended into the house. The fire was found in a rear bedroom and put out quickly.

Firefighters then located the victim's body in the bedroom. Wyoming's Fire Inspector is working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

A family member identified the victim as 60-year old James Taylor. The family member told us Taylor was disabled and lived at the home with his sister, who at work at the time of the fire.
