SPENCER TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Dispatchers say one car was involved in an early morning crash in northern Kent County.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 28 on Bass Lake Avenue near 19 Mile Road.

A 58-year-old man from Gowen was the only person inside a 1999 Buick Century when it crashed into a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
