2 riders thrown from motorcycle in Kalamazoo County hit-and-run

MSP is reporting the driver fled the scene in a four-door sedan that may have minor damage to the rear driver side.

SCHOOLCRAFT, Mich. - Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident that left two people hurt.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Friday on southbound US-131 at U Avenue in Schoolcraft Township.

According to a release from Michigan State Police's Paw Paw Post, the driver struck a motorcycle -- causing both riders on the bike to be thrown.

They say the driver fled the scene in a dark colored four-door sedan that may have minor damage to the rear driver side.

Both victims were taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. The male passenger suffered from minor injuries and is expected to recover. The female passenger sustained serious injuries. Her current condition is unknown at this time.
