Taste of My Town: Fetch Brewing Company

In Whitehall, a local brewery hopes you'll stop by for a cold one.

WHITEHALL, Mich. - We're in the midst of one of the hottest weekends of the year -- that has lots of people fleeing to the lakeshore for cooler breezes and a dip in the lake.

You might remember Fetch Brewing won the title of top West Michigan brewery in our poll back in 2016. We're taking you back there for this weekend's Taste of My Town.

Starting with friends and a do-it-yourself home brewing kit, Dan Hain has see the success many dream of when he turned his recipes into a business in 2014.

Fetch Brewing Co. is located in front of the serene waters of White Lake, and many locals say it's helped Whitehall become a destination location. Nestled right in the downtown area in a building that used to be a bank, the brewery offers the locals the friendly and comfortable atmosphere they were craving.

The brewery features ten beers on tap and a few wines as well. One unique feature is the crowler - much like the growler in that it's a container you can fill with beer, but the crowler is a 32-ounce aluminum can rather than glass.

Owners Dan and Jen Hain are astonished at their success in WZZM 13's "Best Brewery in West Michigan" poll. "It's such an honor," says Jen Hain. "The industry is booming in Michigan so to be even the top ten was huge and then to be dwindled down to the top four, I mean, what an honor. We were just humbled by it."

So, what's next for Fetch Brewing Co.? "I don't want to conquer the world," says Dan Hain. "I just want to cover our little niche, raise a family in a small town and right now it's coming to fruition...it's going very well."
