PAVILION TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash that happened just southeast of Portage on the evening of Sunday, June 17.
Investigators say a vehicle hit a tree near the corner of South 29th Street and East R Avenue at 6:14 p.m. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. That person was the only one inside the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved.
Assisting agencies include Life EMS, the Pavilion Township Fire Department and the Portage Fire Department.
