Garth Brooks to play Notre Dame Stadium

Garth Brooks played six shows in four days in Grand Rapids recently, but he's hoping one upcoming show not too far from West Michigan will be bigger than ever.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It's a two hour drive from Grand Rapids and it just happens to be a place country music legend Garth Brooks has been dreamed of playing about.

Monday on social media, Brooks and the University of Notre Dame announced that he will be playing at historic Notre Dame Stadium.

The details of the concert, including the date, have not yet been announced. However, we do know this will be a "one night only" show and that it will be the first time Notre Dame Stadium has ever hosted a concert.

Notre Dame Stadium will also host the first game in the Michigan vs. Notre Dame football rivalry series since 2014 this fall, and it will also host the 2019 NHL Winter Classic between the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins.
