KENTWOOD, Mich. - A 22-year-old man is in critical, but stable condition after being found with multiple cuts to his body Tuesday.
The Kentwood Police Department says officers were called to the Wingate Apartments around 1 a.m. on Tuesday on reports of an assault. Officers found a 22-year-old man suffering from multiple cuts -- they also found a 19-year-old suspect in the apartment.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Police arrested the suspect for assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder. Police say he will be arraigned on Wednesday.
Police say the victim and suspect are acquainted in some way, but they continue to investigate the incident. Antone with more information that will further their investigation is asked to contact the Kentwood Detective Bureau at 616-656-6600.
