UPDATE: Nine-year-old Ajanae Rae Sherrod was found safe on Tuesday morning, about four hours after police sought help finding her.

FLINT, Mich. - A 9-year-old girl was taken by a cousin three days ago and never returned home.

According to reports by our ABC-affiliate in Flint, Ajanae Rae Sherrod was last seen around Blue Bell Beach off Bay Road. She was wearing a black leopard-print bathing suit with a long blue gown.

State police say Ajanae's cousin threatened to commit suicide and text messages between the cousin and the girl's mother are leading authorities to believe Ajanae could be in danger.

Ajanae is 4 feet 9 inches tall and 120 pounds. She could in a maroon 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Anyone who sees her should call 911.
