'Big Three' to call Coopersville home after Betten Baker acquires Kent City Ford

Betten Baker will continue to sell pre-owned vehicles as well as service and parts in Kent City.

WEST MICHIGAN - Big things are happening for Betten Baker!

The Auto Plaza in Coopersville has finished construction on the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram facility and has acquired Kent City Ford.

That means Ford will be relocating the brand -- completing the "Big Three" automotive brands in Coopersville.

According to a press release, this is a first for the area as no other location will allow customers to shop seven new domestic brands and more than 50 new models all at the largest Auto Plaza in Michigan. Brands include Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Ford.

"This makes an amazing opportunity for our guests, it gives them an opportunity to cross-shop," Bob Dunkelberger, the General Manager, said.

The expansion also expected to provide 100 more jobs to Coopersville. Dunkelberger hopes the added business will provide a nice economic boost to the community.

Betten Baker will continue to sell pre-owned vehicles as well as service and parts in Kent City.

The Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram store is now open and the Ford store is expected to open early next year.
