BELDING, Mich. - Opening night for high school football in Michigan is Thursday, Aug. 23, which means the 13 ON YOUR SIDE sports department has a lot of scouting to do before the first 13 On Your Sidelines show that same night.
The Newaygo Lions are hoping to build off a 7-3 season in 2017.
There are 15 returning starters from last year's playoff team, but there are plenty of other playoff teams on their schedule -- five of them to be exact.
