Trial adjourned for GR high school student accused of sexual assault

Jury selection was supposed to begin Monday, Sept. 17 in Kent County Circuit Court for 17-year-old Cameron Cross.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The trial for a Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School student accused of criminal sexual conduct has been adjourned.

Jury selection was supposed to begin Monday, Sept. 17 in Kent County Circuit Court for 17-year-old Cameron Cross -- but the trial was adjourned for additional discovery.

Cross was arrested in March, for third-degree criminal sexual conduct, but when surveillance video and witness statements did not support those charges, accusations from one student were dismissed entirely, and the other charge was reduced to a two year misdemeanor.
