This week’s Meijer Scholar athlete is Drew Trygstad of Holton High School.
Trygstad is as busy a student athlete as they come. At one point, the senior was playing five sports and still maintained a 4.0 GPA.
These days, Trygstad is down to three sports, but he’s still involved in several extracurricular clubs such as student council and quiz bowl.
His motivation is simple: He wants to be remembered at his school.
"I wanted to be remembered for more than being an athlete," Trygstad said. "I wanted to be remembered as being a great student, being a great leader, and being a good athlete."
