ArtPrize jurors announce top 20 shortlist and five top venues

The jurors released their top five picks across four categories: 2D, 3D, Installation and Time-Based. They also announced the top five venues.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - On Monday evening, the ArtPrize jurors announced their shortlist of the top 20 pieces in this year's competition and the top five venues.

These twenty finalists will join the twenty public vote finalists who will be announced on Sept. 30. There are two $200,000 grand prizes and $100,000 available to win in category awards.

The five venues on the shortlist are competing for the $12,500 outstanding venue award.

Outstanding Venue

This year's ArtPrize has 1,263 artist entries that represent 40 countries and 41 U.S. states. Round 1 of voting for the public will continue until Sept. 29 at 11:59 p.m. Round 2 of voting will open at 2 p.m. on Sept. 30.
