GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The $250,000 winner of the inaugural ArtPrize in 2009 is back in town.
Ran Ortner was unable to pay his phone bill before coming to ArtPrize. His piece named Open Water No. 24, which was entered by friend, and was on display at Reserve Wine & Food and it helped to launch his career.
Ortner is back in Grand Rapids to give a keynote address as part of the ArtPrize Studio Series and to serve on the Grand Rapids Jury panel.
