GEORGETOWN TWP., Mich. - A Dean Transportation school bus, a pick-up truck and a car were involved in a crash in Georgetown Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
The crash occurred at 44th Street and 8th Avenue around 3:45 p.m.
The Sheriff's Office said that Kathy Wabeke, 60, was driving the bus, and she was turning south on 8th Avenue. Joshua Vanoverloop was driving his 2013 Ford F-150 on 44th Street when Wabeke turned in front of his truck and they collided in the intersection.
This caused the bus and the pick-up truck to hit another car being driven by Matthew Johnson. He was waiting on a red light on 8th Avenue to turn west on 44th Street.
Wabeke was cited for failing to yield on a left turn.
Two students on the bus were injured. They were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure and listed in stable condition. They are students at Ottawa Area Young Adult Services, a part of the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District.
