Panthers hold off Wayne State in GLIAC home-opener.

Davenport's bench made the difference as the Panthers held off Wayne State in their GLIAC home opener, 73-70.

The Panthers second unit outscored the Warriors bench 28-9, led by sophomore guard Chris Rollins 15 points. That total tied him for the team-high with Wayland's Avery Hudson. Hudson was 4-of-5 from three-point range and added a team-high nine rebounds.

Davenport improves to 8-1 on the season and 2-1 in the GLIAC. The Panthers host #19 Ashland on Saturday at 3 pm.
