Grand Valley State jumped out to a ten point lead in the first half but couldn't maintain, as Ashland topped the Lakers 74-63.
Jeremiah Ferguson lead the Lakers with 16 points. Holland West Ottawa's Jake Van Tubbergen scored 14 points.
GVSU is shooting 36% from three-point range this season, but against the Eagles they shot just 6-of-21 from three and 17-of-27 from the free throw line
The Lakers fall to 6-2 on the year and 2-1 in the GLIAC. They'll host Wayne State on Saturday at 8 pm.
