Trooper saves Christmas, surprises local mom after presents are stolen

The trooper had a list which included Pokémon cards, Beyblades and most importantly, a lord Voldemort Harry Potter wand.

A Michigan State Trooper came to the rescue for a mother after her apartment was broken into and her son's presents were stolen.

Police say on Nov. 29 Tpr. Benoit of the Paw Paw post investigated a break-in at the Galesburg apartment complex. During the investigation the trooper learned all the presents the mother purchased for her 9-year-old son, Christopher, were stolen.

Without the woman knowing, Tpr. Benoit reached out to S.T.O.P. (State Trooper Outreach Partnership) and organized the purchase and return of the presents.

The trooper had a list which included Pokémon cards, Beyblades and most importantly, a lord Voldemort Harry Potter wand. Michigan State Police say Tpr. Benoit delivered the presents and some additional holiday cheer to the woman on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018.
