Rockford man injured in hit-and-run on Northland Drive

Authorities are searching for the driver of a silver or dark colored vehicle who did not stop after hitting a man walking along the side of the road.

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Kent County Sheriff's Department is looking for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash Saturday evening.

Deputies say the incident happened along Northland Drive NE near Sandwood Street NE in Plainfield Township. A 54-year-old Rockford man was walking along the side of Northland Drive when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.

After hitting the man, the driver of the vehicle continued north without stopping.

The Rockford man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle was only described as silver or dark colored. The make and model are unknown at this time.
