Wolverine helps GRPS students 'dress for success'

Wolverine outfitted more than 100 students during their five-year partnership.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Grand Rapids Public School students who attend the Academy for Design and Construction got some new gear Wednesday afternoon.

Wolverine, a division of Wolverine Worldwide, has outfitted more than 100 ADC students during their five-year partnership with GRPS. Students have received customized work jackets with the ADC logo, boots, gloves, hats and socks.

This year, Wolverine is providing upwards of $10,000 worth of gear to 23 students.

As part of their studies, construction-focused students spend two hours a day working on a Habitat for Humanity home. The new gear helps keep them safe and warm during the winter months as they work to finish their project.
