Police investigating attempted robbery at Grandville jewelry store, no suspects in custody

Police say two suspects entered the store during regular business hours and tried to smash a display case with a hammer.

GRANDVILLE, Mich. - Police in Grandville are looking for two suspects who attempted to rob a jewelry store Saturday.

Police were dispatched to Jared's Galleria of Jewelry located at 3610 Rivertown Pkwy SW. Police say two suspects went into the jewelry store during normal business hours and attempted to smash open a display case with a hammer.

When they were unable to take anything, they fled the area in a dark-colored SUV.

Police describe the two suspects as black men wearing dark-colored hoodies and ski masks.
