One man has died following a crash involving multiple cars at the intersection of South Maple Island Road and East Apple Avenue in Egelston Township. The Muskegon County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
The initial investigation indicates a man driving a work van was going west on E. Apple Ave. and failed to stop at the stop light. The van hit a pick-up truck stopped at the light and pushed both vehicles into the intersection and into two other vehicles.
Two people in the secondary collisions were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the work van was pronounced dead at the scene. All other people involved declined medical treatment.
The crash is still under investigation.
