POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A 40-year-old man died after his pick-up truck crashed head on into a semi-truck in Polkton Township Friday morning.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says around 4:19 a.m. a pick-up truck going south on 68th Avenue near Garfield Street crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and hit the semi-truck head on.
The 40-year-old from Norton Shores driving the pick-up died from his injuries in the crash. A 22-year-old man from Twin Lake was driving the semi, and he was not injured.
The intersection of 68th Avenue and Garfield Street was closed for several hours because of the crash.
