HOLLAND, Mich. - The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said an all-clear was given after law enforcement issued a take shelter alert for a small group of residents in Holland.

Sergeant James Douglas said OCSO was conducting an investigation in the 500 block of 136th Ave. in Holland. The investigation was done to assist the sheriff's office Detective Bureau in an ongoing investigation.

To keep the public safe and informed, notifications were sent to cell phones in the area of the incident asking the public to stay away from the area or to shelter in place. The notifications were sent to a small area that covered approximately half a mile around the scene.

A second alert was made advising the public the incident had been resolved. Sheriff's deputies completed their investigation in under an hour and cleared the scene.
