City of South Haven loses power for hours

City officials said AEP Energy lost the main feed going into town.

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — A power outage affected the entire city of South Haven Saturday. It was reported around 10:45 a.m. and it wasn't restored until after 6 p.m. 

City officials said AEP Energy lost the main feed going into town, and there are no issues with the city system.

AEP found the issue around 2 p.m. and said it expected to restore power by Saturday afternoon or early evening.
