Hackley and Hume After Dark | Experience nighttime life in Victorian times in Muskegon

MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Hackley and Hume homes in Muskegon are offering visitors a chance to step back in time and explore life after hours in the historic homes of Hackley and Hume.

The Hackley and Hume Historic site holds both the Hackley House and the Hume House. Lumber baron Charles H. Hackley had the houses built between 1887 and 1889 for both him and his business partner Thomas Hume.

The homes sit at 484 W. Webster Ave. in Muskegon.

The exclusive after-dark tours will take place on the first Friday of each month from May through Oct. 2024.

After Dark Tours will be held on the following nights from 9-10 p.m.:

  • Friday, May 3
  • Friday, June 7
  • Friday, July 5
  • Friday, Aug. 2
  • Friday, Sep. 6
  • Friday, Oct. 4

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online for $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members. You can purchase tickets online here.
